LAS VEGAS — The National Dart Association's 23rd annual Team Dart Tournament attracted the world's best soft-tip dart players to the Riviera Hotel & Casino here. The nine-day event, which concluded last weekend, featured individual and team matches; players competed on the latest electronic dartboards.

Amusement and Music Operators Association president Lloyd Williamson of Williamson Sugarloaf Inc. (Winona, MN) attended opening ceremonies on Monday, April 21, and accepted a plaque of recognition as one of the group's original founding sponsors. (NDA is a subsidiary of AMOA.)

Separately, NDA has selected Pittsburgh as the host city for its summer Dart Summit meeting. Running from July 24 to 26, the gathering serves as an educational forum for owners of amusement and music routes, as well as pool and dart league coordinators. Among available seminars will be: Family Business Issues; New League Coordinator Training; Using Technology to Make Your Job Easier; and Building and Revitalizing Your Leagues.

Registration is free for representatives of NDA member firms and may be processed online at www.ndadarts.com. The nonmember fee is $275, which can be applied to first-year dues if the participating company joins within 60 days of the event.
